I am honoured as CEO/Executive Director and Founder for Centre for Migrant and Refugee Health (CMRH) to have been invited to speak at Torque Global Health Monash’s annual Global Health Training Day on Saturday, 14th September 2024, from 10:00AM to 5:00PM. It is an exciting opportunity to engage with the next generation of health professionals and explore the global health challenges we face today, particularly in the context of People Seeking Asylum and Refugee and Migrant Health in Australia.
Torque Global Health, led by dedicated students at Monash University’s Faculty of Health Sciences, Dentistry, and Medicine, fosters a critical dialogue around global health education. I am thrilled to contribute to this initiative, sharing insights from my work with the Centre for Migrant and Refugee Health.
Together, I hope we can inspire and empower future leaders in healthcare to approach their careers with an inclusive, global perspective, addressing the critical health issues facing vulnerable populations.
Thank you for this wonderful opportunity, and I look forward to the discussions ahead in future with your great partnership.
